Cartoon me (on the right) in The New Yorker for Escape From Hell
Hey, thanks for stopping by.
A little about me: I was born in the U.S. to South American parents and became the unofficial family translator pretty early on. I helped my grandparents and relatives connect with the world around them, sometimes through words, sometimes through visuals. Looking back, a career in communication was probably inevitable.
Since then, I’ve worked with brands around the world at agencies including BBDO NY, Y&R, VML, Grey NY, McCann, Publicis, Digitas, Elephant, and Superheroes in Amsterdam. I’ve also spent time on the brand side at Harley-Davidson. The work has picked up a few awards along the way, but getting a thumbs-up from my parents still feels like the bigger win.
Outside of work, I teach at Miami Ad School and share what I’ve learned with the next generation of creatives. When I’m not doing that, I’m usually chasing down a passion project or two.
That’s the short version of me. What about you?
